K-pop Beauty? It's not difficult!!

K-pop (an abbreviation of Korean pop; Korean: 가요 kayo) is a musical genre originating in South Korea that is characterized by a wide variety of audiovisual elements. Although it comprises all genres of "popular music" within South Korea, the term is more often used in a narrower sense to describe a modern form of South Korean pop music covering mostly dance-pop, pop ballad, electronic, rock, hip-hop, R&B, etc. (source: Wikipedia)

VINCCI - Malaysia Footwear Brand

About a year ago, I went to Spore (Singapore) and KL Malaysia. It's a short trip. When we shopped there, we saw this VINCCI store. Of course we went in and bought some shoes. There're so many people because it's on sale. Figured.
VINCCI is the most prominent brand of the Padini family. A footwear brand that focuses on chic and affordability, most of its shoes are made from synthetic material. It also sells watches, sunglasses, PVC handbags and bead accessories. VINCCI was established to market ladies shoes, bags, belts and other accessories in 1986. (source: Wikipedia)
If you want to see the collection, just go to this link. Since 2005, the first VINCCI store in Indonesia was opened at Mal Taman Anggrek. In Indonesia, they used VNC for shoes from VINCCI.

I bought this shoes because, I don't know. I like it, I guess :)

And then I saw Justin Timberlake - Mirror Music Video. I just, woow, It looks like the same, from afar.

Who doesn't love cereal???

I love cereal!! Since I was a child, I ate cereal every morning. But when I was in college, it's kind of hard because I have to stay at dorm. Now, I have this love for Kellogg's Froot Loops..

It's delicious, and not so sweet, which I love about. Colorful and fun :3
I don't now, I have soft spot for Kellogg's.. I like Frosted Flakes, Rice Krispies, Corn Flakes!! Who doesn't love Corn Flakes? It sound silly. But I know there're certain people who don't like eating cereal. I'm not gonna judge or something. Because I have some foods or fruits that I don't like. Like I don't really like pineapple, watermelon, durian, and raisins.

A Kellogg's cereal and milk breakfast is nutritious at its most delicious. With every spoonful, it has protein to help rebuild and grains to help recharge your body. So go ahead, get reacquainted with your favorite bowl of crunchy goodness. It just fuels right. (source: Kellogg's)
Eating cereal is linked to a higher consumption of micronutrients as well as a lower fat and cholesterol intake. (source: link)
The point is "cereal is good for breakfast". It's lower fat and cholesterol. Also, if you want some more nutrients, just add fruits to it. Like berries, apple, banana. It's like a win win. You get nutrients from cereal and fruits.

So don't be afraid to go and try eat cereals. ^^ see you..

Uber @ Jakarta guys!!

Yeyy.. I got news yesterday, that Uber will be operated @ Jakarta this year. Hopefully this year. Are you guys excited? I am!! Wooo... Urg too much exictement... sorry.. let's get down to it..

What is Uber?

Uber is an American venture-funded start-up and transportation network company based in San Francisco, California that makes mobile application software ("app") that connects passengers with drivers of vehicles for hire and ride-sharing services. The company arranges pickups in dozens of cities around the world.
Initially, Uber drivers had cars such as Lincoln Town Cars, Cadillac Escalades, BMW 7 Series, and Mercedes-Benz S550 sedans. After 2012, Uber added a wider selection of cars to market to a broader cross-section of the market, called UberX. Cars are reserved by sending a text message or by using a mobile app. Using the apps, customers can track their reserved car's location.

Uber is evolving the way the world moves. By seamlessly connecting riders to drivers through our apps, we make cities more accessible, opening up more possibilities for riders and more business for drivers. From our founding in 2009 to our launches in over 70 cities today, Uber's rapidly expanding global presence continues to bring people and their cities closer.

It's a great mobile apps!! we don't need to say where we going, how to get there, and for money, the charge comes to our credit card. Ride-sharing concept? Brilliant! You can asked for private drivers. Of course it's not taxi. But the drivers already had a background check so you can relax. I got to say, it must be interesting to be a driver ^^ (check this article)

But I don't know if they will be succeed in Indonesia. According to DailySocial, there're some regulation in Indonesia. Because Uber doesn't have commercial license like taxi, so they can be called "illegal taxi". Well, I am from Indonesia and I wonder what if there're crimes when passages ride with partner car (ride-sharing drivers). Anyway, Uber can faced some lawsuit if they don't handle the situation with the governor here (Indonesia). I just hope they have handled the problems before opening at Jakarta.

Psstt..
Uber_JKT is looking for interns for this summer. But you have to be fluent in Indonesia and English of course. You can send your CV to andrewkim@uber.com. If you want to know what jobs are offered, just go to this link.

That's it and have a nice day..

We need more storage!!

Yes, deep down inside, I know we all think, we need more storage. We have enough but not enough for our hobbies (maybe photography, movie, anything) or for someone with so much document. At some point, you begin to search for storage.

That's when cloud storage began to shine. Do you know what is cloud storage?
Cloud storage is a model of networked enterprise storage where data is stored in virtualized pools of storage which are generally hosted by third parties.
So basically you can store data virtually, not in your hard-disk. But to access it you need network, internet. It's an unlimited storage online!!

Personally I used so many cloud storage. Some for my college project and materials, some just my pictures because I tend to shot a lot of pictures back when I was in senior high. For now, I will write down some of cloud storage that I used ^^

  1. Dropbox - Start from 2 GB (you can get more from invite people). I am quiet happy with it. Nahh, I just majorly happy!! I got 6 GB because.. ohh I don't know maybe because I sync it with my phone. LOL lame excuses.. sorry guys, i don't know the reason why..
  2. Box - Start from 10 GB for free (according to their web). I put all my college materials and projects here. It's interface looks the same with Dropbox.
  3. MediaFire - Start from 10 GB. People used it mostly to share their files with others because I think it's a lot easier. Thou I don't open it anymore.
  4. Google Drive - Start from 15 GB. What make people use it, because it's synchronized with Google Mail. Google and their empire =___=;;;

So far? I like Dropbox because it can sync our photos from smartphone to the cloud storage. It's simple and easy. I hope this article can helped you :)

That's all from me. I hope I can see you tomorrow ^^

Public Speaking? Frightening?

I have been there. Where I had to conquer my fear of speak in front of audience. I took a class about the basic communication. It had a task, frightening task, public speaking. I was freaking out. I like talking, but not when all the attention is on you. I'm sure there're some who think the same. Now, I will write down about this particular activity.

According to Wikipedia,
Public speaking is the process and act of speaking or giving a lecture to a group of people in a structured, deliberate manner intended to inform, influence, or entertain a listening audience. Public speaking is commonly understood as face-to-face speaking between individuals and an audience for the purpose of communication. It is closely allied to "presenting", although the latter is more often associated with commercial activity. Most of the time, public speaking is to persuade the audience.

So, we can say that public speaking = speaking in front of people. It doesn't matter if it's a meeting, a campaign, a lecture, every kind of activity that make people speak in front of public, it's public speaking. (The way I said it, it's kind of confusing ^^;;)

Is it frightening? Yes. It is nerve-wreaking!!

In this article, I will give you some tips to help.. (I hope it helps)

  1. you have prepare topic or ideas (sometimes you have to give a speech so suddenly. just make sure you have a clear idea) make sure you know what type audience you're dealing with.
  2. master the topic. it helps if you master it, so you don't get nervous on stage.
  3. practice in front of your friends and make them criticize you. because criticize make your performance better.
  4. focus during the speech. if you start to think they stare to much, remember it's because you're the one who speak. it's not bad, it's good. you have their attention. well, to entertain the audience, you can pick a well-known topic, funny one, or interesting.
  5. BREATH!! if you start getting nervous, just pause a second, take a deep breath and continuing your speech again.
  6. It's okay to fail. Even though it's a bad speech, remember what you have done wrong, so you can fix it for the next time you try public speaking again. After all, practice makes perfect!!
That's what I think summarize my personal experience. If you have some tips, please just comment below. Thank you and see you ^^
