Who doesn't love cereal???

I love cereal!! Since I was a child, I ate cereal every morning. But when I was in college, it's kind of hard because I have to stay at dorm. Now, I have this love for Kellogg's Froot Loops..

It's delicious, and not so sweet, which I love about. Colorful and fun :3
I don't now, I have soft spot for Kellogg's.. I like Frosted Flakes, Rice Krispies, Corn Flakes!! Who doesn't love Corn Flakes? It sound silly. But I know there're certain people who don't like eating cereal. I'm not gonna judge or something. Because I have some foods or fruits that I don't like. Like I don't really like pineapple, watermelon, durian, and raisins.

A Kellogg's cereal and milk breakfast is nutritious at its most delicious. With every spoonful, it has protein to help rebuild and grains to help recharge your body. So go ahead, get reacquainted with your favorite bowl of crunchy goodness. It just fuels right. (source: Kellogg's)
Eating cereal is linked to a higher consumption of micronutrients as well as a lower fat and cholesterol intake. (source: link)
The point is "cereal is good for breakfast". It's lower fat and cholesterol. Also, if you want some more nutrients, just add fruits to it. Like berries, apple, banana. It's like a win win. You get nutrients from cereal and fruits.

So don't be afraid to go and try eat cereals. ^^ see you..

Uber @ Jakarta guys!!

Yeyy.. I got news yesterday, that Uber will be operated @ Jakarta this year. Hopefully this year. Are you guys excited? I am!! Wooo... Urg too much exictement... sorry.. let's get down to it..

What is Uber?

Uber is an American venture-funded start-up and transportation network company based in San Francisco, California that makes mobile application software ("app") that connects passengers with drivers of vehicles for hire and ride-sharing services. The company arranges pickups in dozens of cities around the world.
Initially, Uber drivers had cars such as Lincoln Town Cars, Cadillac Escalades, BMW 7 Series, and Mercedes-Benz S550 sedans. After 2012, Uber added a wider selection of cars to market to a broader cross-section of the market, called UberX. Cars are reserved by sending a text message or by using a mobile app. Using the apps, customers can track their reserved car's location.

Uber is evolving the way the world moves. By seamlessly connecting riders to drivers through our apps, we make cities more accessible, opening up more possibilities for riders and more business for drivers. From our founding in 2009 to our launches in over 70 cities today, Uber's rapidly expanding global presence continues to bring people and their cities closer.

It's a great mobile apps!! we don't need to say where we going, how to get there, and for money, the charge comes to our credit card. Ride-sharing concept? Brilliant! You can asked for private drivers. Of course it's not taxi. But the drivers already had a background check so you can relax. I got to say, it must be interesting to be a driver ^^ (check this article)

But I don't know if they will be succeed in Indonesia. According to DailySocial, there're some regulation in Indonesia. Because Uber doesn't have commercial license like taxi, so they can be called "illegal taxi". Well, I am from Indonesia and I wonder what if there're crimes when passages ride with partner car (ride-sharing drivers). Anyway, Uber can faced some lawsuit if they don't handle the situation with the governor here (Indonesia). I just hope they have handled the problems before opening at Jakarta.

Psstt..
Uber_JKT is looking for interns for this summer. But you have to be fluent in Indonesia and English of course. You can send your CV to andrewkim@uber.com. If you want to know what jobs are offered, just go to this link.

That's it and have a nice day..

We need more storage!!

Yes, deep down inside, I know we all think, we need more storage. We have enough but not enough for our hobbies (maybe photography, movie, anything) or for someone with so much document. At some point, you begin to search for storage.

That's when cloud storage began to shine. Do you know what is cloud storage?
Cloud storage is a model of networked enterprise storage where data is stored in virtualized pools of storage which are generally hosted by third parties.
So basically you can store data virtually, not in your hard-disk. But to access it you need network, internet. It's an unlimited storage online!!

Personally I used so many cloud storage. Some for my college project and materials, some just my pictures because I tend to shot a lot of pictures back when I was in senior high. For now, I will write down some of cloud storage that I used ^^

  1. Dropbox - Start from 2 GB (you can get more from invite people). I am quiet happy with it. Nahh, I just majorly happy!! I got 6 GB because.. ohh I don't know maybe because I sync it with my phone. LOL lame excuses.. sorry guys, i don't know the reason why..
  2. Box - Start from 10 GB for free (according to their web). I put all my college materials and projects here. It's interface looks the same with Dropbox.
  3. MediaFire - Start from 10 GB. People used it mostly to share their files with others because I think it's a lot easier. Thou I don't open it anymore.
  4. Google Drive - Start from 15 GB. What make people use it, because it's synchronized with Google Mail. Google and their empire =___=;;;

So far? I like Dropbox because it can sync our photos from smartphone to the cloud storage. It's simple and easy. I hope this article can helped you :)

That's all from me. I hope I can see you tomorrow ^^

Public Speaking? Frightening?

I have been there. Where I had to conquer my fear of speak in front of audience. I took a class about the basic communication. It had a task, frightening task, public speaking. I was freaking out. I like talking, but not when all the attention is on you. I'm sure there're some who think the same. Now, I will write down about this particular activity.

According to Wikipedia,
Public speaking is the process and act of speaking or giving a lecture to a group of people in a structured, deliberate manner intended to inform, influence, or entertain a listening audience. Public speaking is commonly understood as face-to-face speaking between individuals and an audience for the purpose of communication. It is closely allied to "presenting", although the latter is more often associated with commercial activity. Most of the time, public speaking is to persuade the audience.

So, we can say that public speaking = speaking in front of people. It doesn't matter if it's a meeting, a campaign, a lecture, every kind of activity that make people speak in front of public, it's public speaking. (The way I said it, it's kind of confusing ^^;;)

Is it frightening? Yes. It is nerve-wreaking!!

In this article, I will give you some tips to help.. (I hope it helps)

  1. you have prepare topic or ideas (sometimes you have to give a speech so suddenly. just make sure you have a clear idea) make sure you know what type audience you're dealing with.
  2. master the topic. it helps if you master it, so you don't get nervous on stage.
  3. practice in front of your friends and make them criticize you. because criticize make your performance better.
  4. focus during the speech. if you start to think they stare to much, remember it's because you're the one who speak. it's not bad, it's good. you have their attention. well, to entertain the audience, you can pick a well-known topic, funny one, or interesting.
  5. BREATH!! if you start getting nervous, just pause a second, take a deep breath and continuing your speech again.
  6. It's okay to fail. Even though it's a bad speech, remember what you have done wrong, so you can fix it for the next time you try public speaking again. After all, practice makes perfect!!
That's what I think summarize my personal experience. If you have some tips, please just comment below. Thank you and see you ^^

What I Learned in College (Part 2)

This is the continuation from the last article, What I Learned in College (Part 1). I already give 7 things I learned in college. But that's not all!! Here's some things to complete the list :)

  1. Exercise. If you think you can be slim, healthy and fit in college without some exercise. Boy, you're so wrong. I don't care if you are busy, just do 30 minutes exercise for 3-4 times a week. It helps you fit in college :)
  2. Learning. If you have things to say, just say it. It's your own view and opinion. And everybody can speak out. It's not a crime. If you're wrong, take it as a personal learning. It's college, it's preparation before going to work life/ real life. It's ok to be wrong.
  3. You are not perfect, but you're unique. When you go to college, you can find some interesting people. They are from all around the countries even from other countries. That doesn't make you plain and not unique. Don't be shy and try to be friend with some amazing people. Don't forget, you're not perfect. If you get down, and look at your friends happy with their success. Remember, you're time to shine will come sooner or later. :)
  4. Success will come. Just prepare for it..
  5. YOLO. Enjoy your life. Take some risk. Look at some hobby. Do everything. Don't leave any regret.. You cannot turn back time. So just enjoy and have some fun. If you fall, just back up and keep moving forward.
  6. Happy and grateful. Be happy in your college year. So when you graduate, you can look back and smile to the fun, happy, amazing adventure in college. Also try to be grateful for what you have. You don't know when your time is up. But you have to be grateful for each breath that you take, that you are still alive and be successful
  7. Spend you time wisely. You can have fun and do crazy stuff but you have to be responsible because you're a student with projects and tasks. That's why you need to organize better..
Ahh.. I am so sleepy. Thanks for reading this article. Thank :)

What I Learned in College (Part 1)

I just read The 16 Most Important Lessons I Learned In College and I start thinking, within this past 4 years what did I learn in my College, Bogor Agricultural University. I'm still a computer science student and now working hard to graduate this year. Wish me luck. ^^

Anyway, I learned so much during my 4 years in college. Met some interesting friend and lecturer. It's all fun and exciting. In the article, she said that often we get a job in something totally unrelated with our study. It's true. Sometimes what we study is not what we love, it's just because our parents kinda force us (but it's for our own good) We only have to work hard and survive the college.

Now I will write down what I think based on the article..

  1. Food!! We need so much food and snacks. After a long day, you go back to dorm or apartment, the only thing keep you sane is food. Believe me, when you're exhausted, you probably too lazy to go out. That's why you need food in your room :)
  2. Fast food delivery. When you run out food, just dial for delivery. You don't have to cook, that's the best part. It's great if it's 24 hours. Right? hahahhaha..
  3. Appearance. The article is right, appearance is important in certain time. You don't have to worry about it all the time. Example, for class just look presentable and clean. You don't need dress to impress for class, thou it's different if you have crush on someone :)
  4. Keep in touch is hard. I fear that when I graduate, I won't be friend again with some of my friend in college. But I know it'll be the same as senior high to college, and junior high to senior high. You cannot be perfect all the time. It's the same as friendship, maybe you cannot be as close as before but you are still friend. Just need some work to keep the friendship but it's worth it.
  5. Internet is entertaining. In my mayor, we love internet. When we stuck in some project, some homework, you can find the solution on internet. Boys love online game too. Not all of them. ^^
  6. He/she always having fun. Maybe you are wondering, my friend is in different mayor and he/she looks like having fun all the time. He/she hang out every night. Not true guys!! Even it look like that, you probably don't know that they have a ton of homework, full schedule all week. The different is your schedule, maybe he/she have test when you have day off. It's college not senior high. You don't get the same schedule guys..
  7. Google Translate and spell-checked are awesome. True, it saves me all the time. I'm an Indonesian. My main language is not English so I truly saved by Google Translate and spell-checked too ^^

Well, I will continue the article tomorrow. I have work to do. See you guys :)

you're on your own in the real world :3

Do you guys know? The title comes from a song. Paramore - Ain't It Fun !!

Even the Music Video is so much fun!! You should check this out,

Paramore - Ain't It Fun

Ain’t It Fun is the sixth track on Paramore’s fourth, self-titled, album. Hayley wrote on the band’s LiveJournal that the song is a message to anyone who sometimes forgets that he or she isn't the center of the universe, including herself. The song includes a gospel choir and some seriously funky bass. Hayley has said this song is the closest any Paramore track has been to her work with The Factory, a funk cover band she and Jeremy Davis were in prior to the formation of Paramore. (source: RapGenius)
Yeah, sometimes we feel that we are matters, while others don't. We are so big in our head, we forget that what we think and what actually happen can be different. You cannot predict future. You cannot undo the past. We can only pray to God  that everything will be fine and what will happen, it just happen.

You cannot be the center of the universe. Sometimes I do feel, what I want, my idea, is all that matter. It's wrong. But that us, human. We do feel like that. It's okay until it's hurting your friends and family, even yourself. When it happens just take a deep breath and relax. Try to put yourself in someone shoes.

It's okay until it's unbearable... and it ain't fun!!
